The Jewish Federations of North America support JDC's efforts to help the victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. Following disasters such as these, JDC and its partners are on the ground providing critical food, medical aid, equipment, and services to victims in the emergency phase. In the longer-term, JDC works to restore infrastructure and rebuild community life in disaster-stricken regions, as it has done in the countries impacted by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
